I need to get my licence this year, i took my phyiscal last year and was ready to make my passes to get sighned off to get it, but noone was ever around that was able to sighn me off. So my question is if i get someone lined up to be at the strip the opening day of the season, and make my passes and stuff that i need to do and pass it can i start running in the 9,s from then on? or do i need to waite till they send in all the papper work? and how long does that take if so? The reason i ask is all last year i had to run in Bmode to stay out of the nines, and after doing all my modds for the strip this year id hate to have to be holding back again!!! thank you for any imfo on this

you should be required to have a license before making sub 10.00 passes (9.99) in competition. now i know lots of smaller tracks are real relaxed about some rules, so you never know....and somebody will for sure come on tell you they did at some track somewhere...

get your passes dones, fed-ex the forms and stuff to NHRA and they will fax you a temp license probably gy wed. or thurs. just call them and tell them your problem, let them know you have a race coming up and they will help you.

where are you? there are a couple of licensed racers on on line

As long as the Track operator signs off on your licence, he will let you run in the 9s at the track. The only person who enforces the 9 second rule is the track operator. I doubt very much they will make you wait for the paperwork as long as its filed. That was my experience.

got burned on it last month, my little brother ran his two full passes and was told he was done for the day.

had to re-tech the bike and remove the bottle before they let him run again...

just an FYI....
