The Q's are single compound
The Q2's are dual compound front and rear
Both are great tires. If you don't mind a few extra bucks, you simply cannot go wrong with these tires.
If you ever attend a Jason Pridmore school and watch that man perform on the dunlop Qualifier, I'm sure you will be sold, I certainly was! I watched him do amazing things on the standard qualifier and the new Qualifier 2 is a significantly improved tire for better mileage as well as grip.
The professional test riders were adding 3 seconds to their lap time from the Q1 to the Q2. Thats a huge improvement at the Pro level!
