Protect your Busa

I just installed the Scorpio SR-i500 alarm system on my 04 Busa. The system has parimeter warning if you walk up to the bike. The range is adjustable. Also has tilt and shock warning. It can also disable your ignition system. If your alarm is triggered your remote fob (key chain) will buzz or vibrate or both and show you via display what triggered the alarm. They say the range is up to 1/2 mile from bike to remote. But as you know this range is variable due to conditions and surroundings. I have it set up to where you get about 2 feet from the bike and it will chirp as you get closer it will chirp faster, If you touch the bike or lift it off the stand the alarm sounds and your turn signals flash. Your remote will show you all this. This is a cool system. They have a factory plug in for the Hayabusa so no cutting wires to install. The Main alarm is the size of a box of cigarettes, and the perimeter sensor is the size of a box of matches. Very easy to install.

Where did you get it and how much?

Definitely an investment I need to make in the very near future. Thanks for the feedback. Any links for good prices. I see several on ebay in the low $300 to mid 400 range. Thanks.

they are usually around $300-500 or so...

I have one too.. great alarm. there was a group buy a while back. http://www.scorpioalarms.com/ (talk to Greg - great customer service too!). Lots of posts about the alarm, incl. how to mod it and hook your horns up too.. ICEMANN put a great post up on his installation.. do a search.

Yeah, I purchased my alarm during the group purchase also. It was $343 to your door, and it had all the bells and whistles at no added cost.
