Price check aisle 3

I would laugh in his face if he said 3 or over, actually they called me a little bit ago and it's mine for $2k. A good friend that owns the local motorcycle shop has some used tires I can throw on it for now and then I can start the build up. :)

That's good to know, at least I am getting a decent deal. The bank said they might even have the rear seat for it somewhere and they will try to find it. I am going to throw a couple tires on it here shortly and take it out for a proper test run with a helmet and jacket and boots on, just in case.

By the way, since it has been a few years since I have been on here for any amount of time, has anyone seen my old busa show up anywhere? I hope it is in good hands and being well cared for.

Man your old Busa looks sweet.
I hate it when you have to sell something so nice and then re-buy another one later in life.

Update:

After a little trip to my friends shop which included a oil change, shinko rear with about 80% life he had laying around, new plugs, and new rear pads she is doing a lot better. It has 3 hole lowering links on it so I raised i back up to stock height and with the new tire it handles like it should again. I also discovered that it has a K&N air filter (which will be gone soon), pair valve still in place, and no power commander on it so it is running a touch rich at the moment until I can get one on the way for it. My friend thinks he has a new front tire to get me by for now but I will probably get a set of pilot power 2CTs for it soon. I did take it out on the interstate and ran her up to about 100 pretty hard through the gears and everything is feeling great. I think there is hope on this project.

Oh, my friend says he thinks the plastics are very fixable so it would just cost me body work and painting them when I decide its time.

Yup its mine. I am thinking at the moment either back factory colors, a steel grey metallic color like my truck or the 05 LE model, or just flat black. It will be a while before I have to choose that though, I will get a few more things fixed on it and probably just ride it for the rest of the summer like it is.

good luck on the bike but I still say you need to beat on it hard in 2nd gear to make sure its not going to pop out of gear like roll ons all the way to redline then start in first and shift it hard to 2nd gear and run it up to redline I wouldn't feel good about it untill untill I had done that at least 10 times but for 2 grand I dont think u got a bad deal ...I wouldn't worry about the motor they are pretty bullit proof...keep your eyes open on ebay and craigs list for parts I have a wind screen and two brother slip ons if your need them I would cut you a good deal....and I would leave the kandn on just clean it if it needs it

Lmao! First night in its new home and my shelter rescue already marked it territory. Looks like I get to chase down a small fuel leak when I get off work, oh well it's a project bike. I beat on it a little yesterday but the front tire is pretty weather cracked so I have to get that changed before going all out but it felt solid yesterday. I really do appreciate all the help guys, its good to know the board is still the same after a few years.

You don't like the avatar? Lol. It's my last project bike but I bought it brand new in stock form, 2010 Honda Fury, and it has a new friend now.
