Well it has taken me a couple days to recover, and I had to deal with the 4 letter W word - Work. But it’s a good story and I better tell it before I forgit the good parts. I am going to do it in segments so Gpmo can put in his $.02 in, and it’s way pic heavy! We took over 500 shots on this trip.
Gpmo-aka Paul showed up at my place Tuesday evening, oh I donno, 6pm ish. I was busy wrapping burgers with bacon. Paul brought 90 shilling brats. they were great smoked. Oh and he also brought a 6re of Old Chub! That im drinking right now.
After dinner we tried to go for a ride and found that Gpmo’s front brakes were toast. Ok, guess we won’t go bomb up and down Casper Mt. oh well, next time. We went back home and parked the busa’s in the shop. Later that night I packed. Well, I threw a bedroll and a hammock in trash bags then in a pack, stuffed the tank bag and called it good. I figured if I forgot anything, Gpmo had everything a human could ever need. We got some sleep and…..
The next day we got an early red1100cc start about 10pm. Off to the bike shop to get brake pads. We stopped by my friend Cliff’s work and used their tools to make the swap.
We hit I-25 north then right to Wright. Stopping at Hank to get something to drink. The big gals at Hank’s are always sweet to me. This time I don’t think they charged us for our pepsis.
We stopped in Gillette for gas and to see if Paul’s friend still worked at the Harley shop up there. He moved and wasn’t there but we got free water out of the deal.
We were pushing to get to Sundance by 4pm ish to watch the burnouts.
The bbq at the Harley shop was subpar, but it made me hungry. So we stopped in Moorcroft. And im glad we did. Sundance was crowded and im guessin it would seriously effect the food quality.
More when the sun comes up. uploaded max photos!
