Get the underarmor undies. Solves the sweating problem.

+1 ....you will still sweat...and your clothes may absorb it...but the UA wicks the wetness away from your skin...which makes you feel better while you wear your wet shorts.... lol

Dude...you live in Houston....it gets hot, incase you forgot..

I noticed the same thing once it got hot here. The seat itself isn't so bad. The heat is coming from the seams between the tank and frame. Wear some riding pants and it will be tolerable. I really didn't notice it until I wore jeans only. Of course YMMV. Ride on Beavis.
