OEM BTO15 tires?

I got 5500 miles out of my rear and the front is still ok at 6500.

I am at 2400 and the rear tire is completely gone.

I love mine, fixing to buy another rear till my front wears out. I do notice that it doen not heat up as quick as the pp I had on my 1000.

I am at 6500 on the Frt/Rear stock tires. Still have some tread left but not much...

Somebody told me to spray break cleaner on the tires to get that waxy film off of them, anybody tried this? I'm not into doing burnouts with my new baby, although I've smoke plenty a tire in my day!

Wow! 6500 miles on a BTO15 may be a world record! Most busa guys only get half that many miles and some who are heavy fisted get much less.

As far as brake cleaner on your tires to take the release compound off? I've heard of guys doing that but I would not use brake clean on my tires. I'd just ride them a few miles while gradually leaning the big girl a little more on each turn. A little sand paper on the outside edges works quite well.
