Be very careful. I don’t know if you’ve owned one but they’re very strong, and if there’s salt/sand on the street you could easily bust it
Very true! I’m in Colorado and it takes a while for the roads to be cleaned of all the junk on the road. They don’t salt the roads here and instead use Mag Chloride which gets embedded into the pavement and concrete. We don’t get much rain so it takes a long time to have good traction.

This road is concrete and very slick until all the grooves get cleaned out. Most people have seen this video but it’s a perfect example of why I don’t start riding until the roads are cleaned up.
