At first I thought it seemed too steep of an angle to use this feature and seems dangerous to just let it drop by its self. So I use a ramp instead of just riding the bike up.

Has anyone used one of these and can enlighten me on how it is meant to be used.

+1 on the chock.

I have condor and baxley and recommend the baxley!! Price is hard to beat on the condor trailer model.

With a good chock up front you should be able to put the bike in gear and walk it up into the chock. I would recommend the baxley chock, but even the low priced ones from Harbor Freight don't look bad for the $$. I will tell you that I have no fear whatsoever, of my bike coming loose in the baxley, and that peace of mind is worth the extra $$ to me for the Baxley.

The angle of it dropped looks good if you wanted to Evel knevel it over the SUV.

I would use the ramp or back up to a ditch and load it that way,i have used that type of trailer for years for snowmobiles and it takes a lot of weight in the front to get the trailer to come down i dont think a busa has enough weight in the front.

I have'nt been very far on it yet but rides real smooth from those balloon tires. I haven't been over 55 with it and would probably not go over 65 or 70. I'm just a little cautions with my baby back there.

I never thought about it not having enough weight up frt. to drop the bed back dn. With a couple chocks mounted I could ride it up into the chock and just pull the bed dn. and lock it.

The pivot point should be just aft of center. I know this sounds scary, but gently ride onto the trailer and keep inching forward until you feel the deck start to move. And I mean move gently, you want to find the balance point. If you do it right, it will come down slowly. The problem will be getting traction while moving up the deck of the trailer. Seems odd to have to use ramps on a tilt bed trailer. I have small 4x8 that I used to use to haul my old GPz1100. It was tilt bed and that is how I used to load it, but I didnt have a chock. I would definitely invest in a quality chock with that trailer. Also, just an observation, check the distance from the center of the wheel hub to the edge of the deck. You will want to keep your bike over or inside of the wheel, at least I would think so if you only haul one bike. Are you setting up for two or one?

I have the same type of trailer for my sleds (snowmobiles). I would be really concerned about strapping my Busa to one. It bounces around way to much for my comfort level.

I was gonna set up for both by having one chock bolted to floor but have one that is mobile that will be in garage 99% of the time and will mount it in middle when only one bike is used or in 2nd bike spot it 2 bikes trailered. Which means 2 total chocks. I havent priced them yet but was expecting 100.00 ea.

Baxleys or Condors will run you about 2 and half bills each depending on where you find them.

Not sure about that, but in Oklahoma, trailers used by private individuals do not require plates, only commercial.

Definitely get a chock and be careful putting the Busa up there. Is it designed for use with motorcycles?
