(I realize this is an old thread.)
What I was wondering about is having the hitch mounted
on the swingarm versus most trailer hitches that mount
it to the bike's frame, sprung weight. I LIKE the
cleanliness of the swingarm mounting, but I am
curious as to why the additional unsprung weight
doesn't create weirdness.
I am guessing wildly, but I would think the toungue
weight would be maybe 25 pounds? I guess old
bikes had such heavy wheels & swingarms, but I would
think something modern like a busa would make the
difference more obvious?
I'm just curious as to any good thoughts on the subject.
What is most important is that it does seem to work.
Maybe that is all the answer I really need, but if someone
has interesting thoughts, I would be.....interested.
Thank you.
