Movies you'd like to see on Blu-Ray

BTW-just ordered "The Godfather" complete trilogy+ from Wally World
online for a little over $60

I hate buying non-blu-ray movies cause then I own the standard copy
and hate forking out cash for the same thing I got plus an upgrade.
If I don't own it at all and the blu-ray is availible...then it's a no brainer.
For example I own the complete "Firefly" (which is awesome btw) series
I got about a year ago (paid about $30) now I see they got the blu-ray
version for about $65 I sure would like the full blu-ray version
but dang...it's a lot of money and my player upscales (blah blah blah) still...

Movies I'd like to own in Blu-ray (wish they'd get off their butt and make 'em)

The Star Wars complete set -that would awesome in B-ray
They put the stupid clone wars cartoon on blu-ray (wtf)
Gladiator
Pitch Black
Pulp Fiction


I'm thinking I'm thinking ??? Suggestions

Apocalypse Now. I've been waiting for it. Had to breakdown and see it in regular DVD. Darn it, c'mon Blu-Ray the thing already!

Full Metal Jacket is already out. Not as good.

Picked up Batman, The Dark Knight yesterday. Awesome in Blu-Ray.

That blu-ray Godfather Box Set is killer!

2001 is insanely great on BR, but Barry Lyndon isn't avail on HD yet, so I'd vote for that. (Make that every Kubrick film)

Road to Perdition - the movie isn't my favorite, but the cinematography was shot by a master of the art while practically on his death bed - a beautiful swan song.

Russian Ark - 2000+ actors in the Hermitage, capturing years of Russian history in a single 90 minute take.

Unforgiven - great Clint Eastwood western w/ Gene Hackman + Morgan Freeman.

Open Range - Robert Duvall + Kevin Costner. Similar toned western to Unforgiven. Great film.

Everything Pixar has ever done.

yeah, that too. not that crazy about the movie, but I'll be a completist. Plus, Nicole Kidman has a nice butt.

The same can be said for the Godfather box-set: it comes with two great movies plus a third disc to use as a coaster for your drink.

That's funny...I couldn't wait any longer for heat and picked up the
regular DVD at wally world ro $7.50....love theif, the end is especially awesome
and Collateral is one of my Favorite Movies.

Man on Fire has to be one my top 10 alltime, and it's out on blu-ray

Speaking of Jaws...It's a great movie with stellar acting all around
except for...that 25 year old plastic shark.

What would really rock is if they took the movie and remastered it
and put a realistic looking CGI (ala Jurasic Park) Shark in there over
the plastic one.

Actually I think that would be pretty easy and would make the movie look
10 times better, then the dummies could even re-release it at the movie theater but what do I know
