I just don't like the way all of this is heading. If someone wants to take my guns away they will have to do so after nasty fight and take them from my cold dead hands. I just hope that under this new law that no innoccent people get hurt. There have been numerous cases where cops make a mistake on the address and someone gets hurt or killed.

There is a definite double standard IMHO.. I would not make the statement as it would appear derogatory no less than I would post the "N" word... However it would appear that many think it is just fine for a black person to say or post such statements... (and I do not agree with that, no one should be using the terms IMO, equality swings both ways, or supposed to I guess, some day it might for everyones benefit)

Race certainly has nothing to do with the dislike I feel toward ANY politician... You're new so I will explain my point of view. I agree completely that all politicians are doing what you said, we have had several threads on that very topic lately. I'm by no means under any illusions of hope from our current President due to his skin color, I know he is simply a career politician just like the rest. I just enjoy pointing out inconsistencies I see in peoples' reaction to him. Eexecutive Order 12425 was signed by reagan in 1983....it states that INTERPOL is recognized as a public international org. and is protected under International Organizations Act., provides them protection from income tax, paying income tax of thier employees and gives it agent diplomatic immunity from searches and seizures.
Executive Order 12971...signed by Clinton. extends the the income tax protections of INTERPOL
and
Executive Order 13524...which was just signed by obama removes the words
‘‘except those provided by Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act’’ and the semicolon that immediately precedes them."
this may actually remove thier protected tax status.....but i am not sure if i am reading it correctly.

no but it effectively removes any recourse we might have as to how they got that information or if they go about collecting in in a manner not consistent with our own constitution... where this comes full circle is that if say the FBI or other govt agency wants particular data on you, they have to go through proper channels.. Interpol is not required to follow those channels..
They are "above" US law now... (and yes I saw that they were given "tax exempt status" some time ago.. the slide down the slope is just a continuation)
They can go direct.. On top of that they are a self regulated agency.. their only directive is to follow the guidelines of the "members"
When was the last time you heard someone out right deny they were any one particular thing in Govt? is usually double speak for "this is what we are"
Sorry but this is more than "just" some paper work...
