Debbie Dross aboard the Scott Guthrie Racing Turbo, went thru the traps at 212MPH where she encountered a cone while entering the blind down hill right hander.  She held on pretty good but low sided causing a broken collar bone, bruises and abrasions.  She survived very well and had 2 thumbs up when the crash trucks arrived while laying on the ground under the bike.  She was immediately taken to the laurinburg hospital and pronounced in good health where she will live to race another day.

The Scott Guthrie Racing turbo did not fare very well however.  Mr. Guthrie was heard to say, it may be ternminal.  Possible bent frame was among some of the words used to describe the bikes injuries.  It came back in a basket in the back of the van.

Really really glad she's ok.

What's the technique for going over a cone at that speed on the Busa? (serious question).

When I was at El Mirage the crosswind tried to send me into the cones twice. I kept wishing I was on my dirt bike cause' that would be too easy.

Do you just try to point it straight and run it over?

I'm glad she's all right. It always scares me to hear someone went down. Thanks to the fire rescue squad and everyone there.

Speedy recovery Debbie!

Never been there and never done that. I have a great deal of respect for her and her team.

Deb (the "she" mentioned above) has posted on EBC that she is doing well as you can be with a broken bone.

Her husband Todd will be piloting the Twin Jugs Racing Busa until she heals.

Clavicals are terrible. Can't be placed in a cast have to wear what they use to call a bra. After a week my doctor could push hard on mine. It was very hard to get up out of bed, etc.

Debbie, hope you're at a good point now and just pissed about the scoot.

Just read a letter from Deb, she's fine and ready to do it again. She's upset about being on a barrowed turbo. The bike was rolled back onto the truck, so that sounds promising.

Upside; she ran 212.7 MPH
