Doc!!! please let me know what kind of amusement parks will be at convenience locations for my family....      plz, thx!
The entire place is an amusement park. Seriously though, Circus Circus has a large indoor amusement park with tons of kids things. Sahara has a roller coaster and large indoor arcade with fancy stuff, in fact, many of the casinos have kids things inside. Wet-n-wild (not a nudey BAR&#33

is fun since there are tons of slides, tube rides, etc.

Need more info, let me know.

Hey Doc, if there is anything I have learned...is that you have to stay on these guys to get them to go anywhere together. Maybe you could contact someone out there at the museum to put together a party for us! There should be some sort of "event" list of things to do...otherwise everyone is just going to wander about and the entire group won't do anything together.

I already posted on suzukihayabusa.org...perhaps you could hit labusas.org. Any other boards you think we should hit?

What museum are you talking about? If you mean the Art of the Motorcycle, it is already gone. They moved that out a few months ago. I have a tentative agenda with daily and nightly ride options.

Valley of Fire - a MUST do ride
Mount Charleston - depends on weather (it is 12,000 feet high)...
Death Valley/Pahrump areas - VERY FAST and often unpatrolled straight aways with a few twists and turns.
Hoover Dam - an obvious must
Las Vegas Strip - no doubt
Las Vegas Motorspeed Way and or Pahrump track-day - possibilities depending on schedules.

Depending on who shows and how agressive folks are about riding, we could even tour up towards Zion Utah, but that is a hike for a one-day round trip. I think the Death Valley runs would be fun for all and very scenic too.

Other thoughts?

Oops on the museum thing...my bad! The rides sound promising...but we need nightlife too. Any of you Vegas boys want to help with that stuff...How about a free night at CrazyHorse 2? We could give the girls rides...and then they could give us r....err...never mind. Definately need to roll the boulevard on Saturday night (Busarodz, fix your fan&#33

I am sure that there are plenty of places to go. I say we all line up out in front of the Harley Davidson Cafe and fill the place with burnt rubber. All I know is that if you save up your money, we could all go to the buffet at the Bellagio, $34 but they have Kobe beef and all kinds of real good food. Just a thought.

EAting in Vegas is simply a matter of what do you want to eat...there are simply hundreds of places that will give you a very good meal very cheap in the hopes that you will gamble in their casinos.

The rides you have suggested Doc are all good, I'm in and know the area very well.

As for the ride out from Cali, I'm inclined to do the backroads and stay off of the interstates as much as I can...for more uninterrupted Busa-style riding.

For those of you that rode pit with me the last time, you know what I am talking about...195mph+ this time!!!

I'm hoping to have the new bike within the next 3 weeks...a brand-new Blue/Silver '00.

Do you need any help with the bike Dan?
Yeah, I need a place in Albuquerque to unload it. Meaning I need a forklift and a dock. (It will be in the crate). Anybody know of a place handy there?

I'm having it shipped there so that my sister can register it there prior to it becoming a "used" bike.

I'm right off the 14 fwy. I took it to 138, to 15 last time I went up.

Man, it sure is great seeing you're getting a new 'Busa, since the last time I saw you you were in a hospital bed with a piece of rebar in your thigh.

Well folks, Cache pointed out that the hotels are generally around $100/night for Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, that is the going rate for a weekend night in Vegas. You can check travelocity or elsewhere, but I doubt you will find a lot cheaper. The Fiesta, as I suggested, is $19/night on Thursday night, then $100/night for Friday and Saturday. That's Vegas... Let me know if you have any suggestions...

I've still got the rebar, it is a permanent part of me now.

I only ride a small portion of the 15 going to Vegas, the rest is back roads. It is a longer distance, but more fun. At the speeds that I travel on those back roads, it takes about the same amount of time to get there...
