LAbusas will pass .org's total number of posts in weeks, not months as I estimated on May 31.

LAbusas has grown exponentially while .org moves along at the same rate of growth. LAbusas have made 10,000 posts since May 31! All of them of the highest quality I might add, he said sarcastically.

As of today, LAbusas stands at 47,000 posts, with .org at 53,000. On May 31, we were were at 37,000 and .org was at 49,000.

In the 22 days it has taken this site to grow by 4,000 posts, LAbusas has grown by 10,000.

LAbusas is growing 250% faster than you are and at this rate will pass you in size, at 57,001 posts to your 57,000 posts, on JULY 15.

On that day, we will send our members Sahayabusa and ZXwoman over here to strut around with big "We're #1" ribbons tastefully draped across their hot thong bikinis.

Not to start any sh** here DP, but if you filtered half the bull sh** out of that number you might think differently. All the one liner bitchin and moaning, wise-cracking, and general crap that goes on over there accounts for more than 1/2 your content over there.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I read both sites. I prefer .ORG because I don't have to take the time to filter out so much useless stuff. I just never post to LABUSA's, too much crap whiner wanna-bee's just looking to argue in there!

You get that every now and then here, just not in that magnitude as in LABUSA's.

Don't get me wrong. I like .org too, obviously.

I'm just making an observation of a phenom that I and many others would NEVER have expected to happen. LAbusas was expected by its founders to be a niche site, but look! It has wide appeal among Busa owners and big bore owners in general.

I grant you that a great percentage of the posts on LAbusas are interpersonal bull, posturing, and general silliness. But we all have to ask ourselves why its appeal is wider and its members more involved. Maybe it has something to do with the interpersonal bull, posturing and general silliness, lol!

.ORG was, and still is, an amazing site.

LAbusas is just slighter more amazing, is all.

LOL Sherm, good analogy. But honestly, if I were given the choice between spending my life in a landfill or a library, I'd take the landfill.

More interesting stuff in a landfill. Busted tools, crunched bikes, birds, sunshine, used food, drunks, displaced wise men, wind, weather, the odd accidentally discarded treasure, noise and activity...even some books tossed out by fools. And best of all: NO LIBRARIANS OR RULES.

The analogy, simile rather, I'd make is that .org and LAbusas are like Warren Beatty and Annette Benning. One's a profligate fool with poor judgement and a roving eye, the other a dignified and elegant paragon of virtue. But as a couple, they work quite well.
