I've seen the beginning of the end I think... Moral Decay of our society....

My dad and mom both gave me porn as a teenager. So that makes them bad parents captain?

I would personally say yes.... I think that most of the country would agree... While you may have turned out just fine, giving your kids porn is not something that most parents do...

But seriously why do you object so much to this? It's not like afterward producers have plans for the kid to go to a hotel with her and make a movie.

High school proms are typically not open to the outside for a reason... So where is the limit? Or is there even one in your book? What do you think the limit should be? What separates a high school prom from a dance club? Should we just open the doors and let anyone in? What if a student wants to bring her two 40 year old lovers, is that okay? If you guys are okay with this then let me spin it right back to you...

Where is the limit?

That poor soul, he couldn't get a date from a local girl so he started asking porn queens? REALLY? How many boys (Including myself) went to a dance or the prom by themselves because they didn't have a date?

But how many of us would have had dates to those dances and such if we had twitter/Facebook/myspace/cell phones/google/sexting? There was no Xbox live on the Atari and the cell phone bricks weren't mobile without a car cigarette lighter.

But yet your kids can find alot worse on the internet then what my parents gave me

Yep, but as parents we are supposed to take actions to protect our kids... I do! While my son may have other means at school or a friends house we have tried to instill our family values in him to make the right choices even when we aren't around... Integrity is strong in our house, can you do the right thing even when no one is looking?

Are you really saying that just because we didn't have the opportunities is the only reason that our parents didn't deal with this in our day? When I was in high school even if I had a porn star that lived next door my parents would not have let me go with her... We shouldn't allow technology to define us or change our values and morals...

Not to thread Jack Captain but not too long ago somewhere in the south. They had seperate proms for black kids and white kids.......Don't know if that still goes on but the World didn't making a Fuss out of that

Anyways we all know the country is going to hell in a handbasket. The liberal Media says it's OK to be a **** or Ganster !!! Remember Katie Perry's song "I kissed a Girl and I Liked it"..............???

There is more I can rant about but I like the Org and don't want to get Banned :watching:

Capt can you imagine how long it would have taken me and you to write 600 letters, address the envelopes and lick the stamps?

Man I wish I could have emailed 600 pornstars when I was growing up :(

I'm with you Doug, IMHO poor excuse of a parent. After he turns 18 and graduates, he can date all the porn stars he wants. But not in a school environment. What about the other kid's desires to have a nice prom? Do their or their parents wants count anymore? What I want to know is how he knew 600 porn stars to ask? You guys that think this is "OK" - it's all this self-absorbed 'do what feels good' attitude is killing this country.

I think it's in poor taste. I'm sure I would have loved it when I was in H.S., but my parents would have stopped it dead in its tracks.
Giving porn to your child is not a sign of good parenting, there is something fundamentally wrong about that.

Ain't Google great :)

In this situation, it's the parent(s) place to say no. School has no business banning her for what she does. However the Kid is 18 too, so.... The parent(s) can protest. It's a moral situation.

Everyone here says I have bad parents and I have turned out better than 90% of the kids out there. I don't do drugs have a house and soon to be wife. No kids and happy with life. Maybe parents should give porn more often. :D

I wouldn't bank that everyone could turn out as well with parents that did this across the board. You asked me what I thought, I told you.. My opinion is just that mine, I don't think that it is the recommended solution for kids.

So I ask you, are there any limitations on age or profession that you think are off limits? What does the school have authority over?

That's the main issue i'm seeing is Parenting or lack there of. When I was growing up if I disrespected my parents or another adult I got my :moon: spanked and sent to my room. Which I might add didn't have a tv, laptop, multiple gaming systems, full surround sound stereo and that was discipline. Which didn't stop me from doing things that I shouldn't but it did make me stop and think "If i get caught doing X, is it worth getting my :moon: beat." Now a days parents spank that :moon: it's child abuse and your kid can sue you and win. So instead they get "time out" to think about the bad thing they did. Which teaches them there is no consequence for their actions.

But as a parent you should also know the more you tell a kid not to do something, the more they are going to go out and try. So I can see Black Diamond Busa's point but lets say beer instead of porn, because i know EVERYONE one of us adults waited till the legal drinking age before we got drunk for the first time.:rofl::rofl: Hold on i'm still laughing over that on. So which kid is better? The one that hides the drinking because his parents say "it's the devil" but only till your of age, or the parents that say "I know your going to drink, but i want you to do it responsibly"?

If i'm just rambling on please let me know it's getting kinda late.
