A Minnesota high school senior who asked 600 porn stars to prom on Twitter will not be allowed to bring the one who said yes, his school said.
Mike Stone, 18, tweeted to his prospective dates: “i have dinner hotel and ill give u a massage to.â€￾
The teenager told ABCNews.com he turned to Twitter after several girls at Tartan High School in Oakdale, Minn., turned him down.
“I didn’t expect this to get blown up. It’s great. Everyone at my school is supporting me,â€￾ Stone said.
But school administrators didn’t think so. They banned Megan Piper, 19, who is a Los Angeles-based adult entertainer, from attending prom.
Stone, whose mother said he has special needs, didn’t tell her about his porn star date at first.
“I was a little upset at first and I feel like I’m on my kids and know what they’re up to,â€￾ Diven Stone said. “But I support him and I don’t understand what her profession has to do with anything.â€￾
In a statement released to ABC affiliate KSTP, Tartan High School said Piper’s attendance “would be prohibited under Tartan’s standard prom procedures and would be inconsistent with two school district policies.â€￾ Those policies prohibit activity that may lead to disruptions.
Piper said she is disappointed the school banned her from being Stone’s prom date, especially since she never attended her own high school prom.
“I can make this kid’s dream prom experience come true and get a chance to go to prom,â€￾ she told ABCNews.com. “It was a win for both of us.â€￾
Mike and his date said they plan to throw their own “alternative promâ€￾ and invite the Tartan High School students to attend it instead.
As for that promised massage?
“If it happens, it will happen,â€￾ Stone said.

I figured I'd post a pic of her. Was curious myself to see if she looked like a porn star all faked up and man made or not.

Ask me she looks normal and I don't think she'd be a distraction based on her looks, maybe her occupation would cause the boys to gather but so what? This is a high school prom. It's many a kids fantasy to go to the prom with the head cheerleader or finest girl in school or heck if all else fails a porn star. Capt I don't see yet the problem with this?

First let me start off by saying in no way, shape or form am I directing this rant at anyone one or anyone's perspective on this board. Yes, lets worry about who a high school senior brings to prom. Because it will be so disruptive, while they are at it they should ban R rated movies, go back to book burning and lets not forget those video games that turn the kids into cold blooded killers. It just seems amazing to me what people will make a fuss about when there are so many REAL issues that should be addressed like the Meth epidemic, kids going without food and issues like that.

I just read an article where a school suspended a girl for coming to school with pink hair because it wasn't a "natural" color. Which she dyed with her parents permission for improving her grades in school. At least in that case after the ACLU called the school's attorney and said that's a no no, they lifted her suspension after 3 days with no repercussions.

Now my question is if the kid didn't broadcast it over twitter and no one knew she was a "adult entertainer" and just knew she was a 19 year old girl would it still be wrong and getting as much attention?

Capt I was sitting here trying to remember where this had happened before? Years ago Howard Stern helped a kid get Houston to go to his prom and the two actually wound up dating for a couple months. Parents and school complained but I believe they let it happen? This was about 15 yrs ago.

I guess you most things start off small and get big, why not just deal with issues before they get there... What would you like the school to do to stop the meth problem? I would offer a bet that they do the most they can, this goes back to what authority someone has to affect change... EXACTLY the point... the whole reason this kid wants to go with her is because she is a porn star.. had he not brought it up or made a big deal about it then probably no one would have known... BUT he wanted this to be a spectacle... Hey look at me I'm going to my (HIGHSCHOOL PROM to be around other juveniles like myself with a PORNOGRAPHIC Actress!)...

OK so first I shall say that he is only taking her to the prom not to go make a movie with her there or afterwards. If she dresses by the rules what's the problem with what she does for a living. Alot of people believe the military and anyone that's in it is wrong but many people here support the troops. I am 24 I have had the same job for 6 years about to get married and have my own house for a year now. My dad and mom both gave me porn as a teenager. So that makes them bad parents captain? I was brought up well but still was able to talk to my parents about anything . Would I be OK with my boy/girl to go to the prom with a porn star. Yes they would always remember that night.
