I’d certainly hate to be right in this case
He has already stained the office of the leader of a great country, so damage is already done. I’ve always had great respect for the office, regardless of political leanings, until Trump. That might help explain my extreme disdain of the man; it’s because of my love for this country.

I also believe that the White House shouldn’t be altered as It’s a national heritage building

I watch This Old House’ and people aren’t allowed to alter heritage homes yet the White House seems to be not subject to this protection

If there was heritage protection on the White House, Trump would change that post haste. He also wants to change the Smithsonian, saying the American History section has too many mentions of slavery. Pretending it didn’t happen only erases it in the minds of the feeble.

It’s pretty simple, what Bee is saying. A little respect for The White House would go a long way, but of course we’re talking about Donald Trump. Even though the Trumps are living there right now, they’re more tenants than homeowners, so I would think major changes should require permission. Changing artwork on the walls etc, no problem.
All my humble opinion of course

Thank you for the explanation

I thought my post was pretty straightforward

The White House belongs to the people not the occupants

No worries about impressing me. I’ve always considered you one of the decent members until the last few posts about Newsom. It’s not about him, I could give a crap about politics compared to racism. There is no excuse.

So it's OK to install basketball courts in the white house without asking "the people" for permission?
Barack Obama had lines painted on an outdoor tennis court to make it usable as a basketball court. Not even close to the same thing as the Trump's ball room, but in TallTaleTom’s world, it is.
