Bike is lookin good. I'm diggin the dimmer and color switch on those gauges....I might have to look into that. Also, great job on the outlet. If you aren't looking for it, you wouldn't notice it. Can you plug phone charger or radio into it too, or is it a special connector?

Hey, are you familiar with South Park BMX track. Just thought I'd ask. I am a BMX'er and have three kids all top 3 nationally ranked. We will be up there for a national event in late June.

Nice looking mods. I did my fair amount this winter also, and am still doing some as I still can't ride yet.

Nice looking mods, I am interested in the lights and gauges, where did you get them? Approx. what did they all cost? I just don't trust everything I see on ebay

Responses to questions:

1. the gauge dimmer does not allow plugins.
2. I don't know much about the BMX track, but if you want good pizza and/or great hoagies/subs/heroes/grinders, be they Italian or steak, go north a few miles from South Park on rt. 88 to Danny's pizza.
3. I bought the signals and the gauges from Street Racer Parts. Go to their website, streetracerparts.com, for pricing.

I installed integrated LED tail light and signals, which enable me to remove the ugly rear fender and turn signals that plague all sportbikes.
Actually guys, I'm quite surprised that my little mod hasn't caught on with more Busa owners. I, like a lot of Busa owners, have cut or trimmed the rear fender. And depending on HOW you cut it, the rear signal lights will either still be there or cut off. Usually the people who cut off the signal lights go with an integrator kit. Well, my mod is quite a bit cheaper than an integrator kit and looks hella good at the same time. I really hated the "bug-eyed" look of the rear signal lights on the Busa, so I came up with my own little mod. Since 99% of us remove the rear reflectors anyway, I found a good use for the brackets. The brackets are in the perfect position for a pair of turn signals. I've always like the look of the short-stalk signals from LockhartPhillips, so I purchased a set for about $15. I then got a 3/8" drill bit and bored out the original reflector hole. I mounted the signal lights and used just a smidgeon of loc-tite to the nut that holds the light in place and BAMM!!.... (here's a pic)

Bacharles,

That was an excellent idea, one which I may have to implement even though I have the integrated taillight/turn signals. See, here in the great Socialist Commonwealth of Pensylvania our lawmakers, aside from receiving graft, have nothing better to do than pass vehicle laws that few of us know about. To wit, under the Penisylvania (oops, did I make a typo) Motor Vehicle Code, turn signals must be 9 inches apart, which is not the case for the Clear Alternatives LED taillight.

My dealer's service manager informed me of this before he installed the thing, but said they'd overlook it when I had it inspected, which isn't until October. But if he's no longer there I might fail inspection, at which time your mod could allow me to keep the hot looking LED's plus pass.
