Ok....So you adjust it under the tank. I got that. Do I need to remove the side fairings or can the tank be raised w/out the sides coming off?

Fairings can stay on. Simply remove the two bolts at the front of the tank by the steering head. Be carefull not to lose the metal washers and the rubber washers. Prop up the tank with the rod in the trunk. Easy Peasy...

Someone suggested nail polish instead of Loctite. That or keep a long straight slot under the hump.
