Word there. The Busa lost, but still imo held it's own for what it's worth. The 14 will beat us, but not just totally destroy us. The 14 was one and a half bike lengths ahead every time.

It's not "will" lose sales, they already are losing sales, my area dealer has sold 13, new 14r in a couple of months.

But at same time they are still selling busa's too, just not nearly the same amount.

So for the guys that cry about displacement size, what do you complain about when a 1000cc bike passes you:rofl:

Bikes are becoming just like computers, next year, or even 6 months from now something better, faster, lighter will come along, then we can whine about that.

Face it, as of right now, the 14r is where it's at, for how long who knows, but I will not make excuses when Suzuki brings a new gen 3 and it's 1450cc, I'll just go buy it:laugh:

i dont see what all the fuss is about.

if you want bragging rights then go buy the zx.
in the real world out on the street with mear mortals, there will be hardly anything in in.

i like the way the gen2 looks, i have a bit more power than std and have improved the handling.
in a year the zx14 will be yesterdays new,

look at the bmw s1000rr has more power than the Fireblade, but the fireblade has more sales

not sure what you mean when you say a 1000cc pass me because its not happening...even the all mighty ((s1000r)) tried and got its ass handed to it.. and yes kudos to the kawasaki zx-14r it only took them 12 years and 3 models to finally beat the busa.....thats it...im going to cut my busa in half and rush right out and pay msrp for the all new 14r...ill check in latter guys...

Who pays msrp?

I could care less if it took them 50 years to pass the busa, I am not brand loyal, no manufactures pay me to ride their bikes, I buy the latest and greatest, then when the next one comes I buy that.

Man all I can say is kudos to Kawasaki for making an all around great bike. Suzuki can do the same thing, and now they will be forced to. This time around they just can't give us small enhancements and expect to top Kawasaki. Suzuki is going to have to dive deep into R&D on the Gen III Busa.

I like the 14 and would likely love the newest 14.

The slightly modified bikes are now exceeding my riding needs and capabilities. I'll keep mine until Suzuki offers me a new alternative. Looking forward to K building some interest.

I gotta think these new MSRP's are not Hurting the value of my o/b Gen II's which are not for sale.

Neat a power upgrade :)

However, as a new Busa owner....I bought the K9 gold one for 11.500 Euros brand new, I could have gotten the 2012 14 for 14k. IMHO the Busa is simply a better looking bike. Even if the 14 was the same price with all the gadgets I would have gone for the Busa. I am 43 and have always wanted one :) Finally dreams have come true. As far as power goes only been riding for 200 miles so am not pushing it....the side country roads are limited to 60 KHM and everytime i look at my speedo and I am going 180 KMH....I really do not need more power.

The busa beats the 14 always and every generation as far as I am concerned

in my mind, the two bikes cannot be compared. Yes, their in the same category, and yes, they're always in direct competition, but the zx14 was 1341cc and seemed to be a step behind a 1299cc gen1 Busa... The gen11 Busa is now 1340 (and 4 years old technology), the new zx14R a whole 100cc more. I'd say that 1441cc big bore kit would only even the score. Don't go haywire on tuning it, but make it like it was a stock unit. Stockish compression, stockish timing, stockish tuning, then run them.
