I just changed my spark plugs

Mine never look like that.  They always look very slightly more worn than when I put 'em in.

I would be a little worried about that corrosion. It's a little hard to see the electrodes in the pic.
I ride my Busa rain, hail or shine and I've never seen corrosion like that around the plugs.
Any idea where it's getting in?

It's probably from washing the bike after a ride then parking it in the garage, that's the only conclusion I can come to.

wish the pic were clearer but those patterns look to go up from the seal (read compression leak @ the plug gaskets)

<- what kevin ....said dont force feed the water down around the top of the tank..when washing the "busa" ...

( I ride in the rain .. and mine have never looked like that ) ..... other than that ... the plugs do look a " tad " ....rich.

If I had plugs that looked that bad, I'd get a new set and not post the pics on the net! Seriously, those plugs look like they have been in sea water for about a year. Never seen anything like it.

A busa ridden nice and hard and twisted regularly to redline produces beautiful plugs, nice toasty brown.

Kevin you need to park your Busa indoors maybe? Someplace Dry anyway, and run that thing harder and hotter. My .02 anyway. If your plugs look like that, then you pistons are not far behind. You need to get some heat in there, burn the gunk out.

Remember, 87/89 octane and twist it like you mean it. If your not up to it I know Greg will do it for ya!

Rev, you should have ridden with me some while you were down here. Ask Diesel, or any of the guys that were here for our Fla. alps ride. I ride pretty hard, (well, at times I do, but my wife is over my shoulder now so, maybe I don't ride hard, I keep it under 65) ouch!!! she just smacked me in the back.

Okay, she's gone now. I've thought about it and although I do ride fast and hard at times, I DO usually shift low when putzing around town. That may indeed be the problem. I think I'll try reving a little more before shifting.

Nah what I was implying is that you need to twist it more, not that you don't know how to but that you need to do it longer. Maybe head out and ride your favorite roads running a gear or two lower, keep your rev's high and bang it off the limiter once in awhile. It's fun and Good for ya.
