HW's Inaugural Maintenance

Put the good one on the shelf, and keep looking...then put the other one on the shelf when you find it.
A set of slip-ons makes a very Noticeable difference on a Gen2, not in hp...but handling, you can actually feel the weight loss when flicking left to right through curves.
Plus you'll get about 2hp, lol

An inexpensive OEM may be required to start this riding season. Please see above:

If you bought a Gen2 new in 2012, Suzuki gave you your choice of a full single Yoshimura, or a set of dual Yoshimura slipons, with your choice of stainless-steel or carbon-fiber mufflers, installed for free...and Suzuki approved no tune required.

Making me jealous will accomplish nothing.

My sight is set on the Signature R-77 with permanent baffle. As I say, "Noise is for you, not for me." (You can quote me on that.)

Bam! Now we're talkin'!

I get the cost factor...and noise isn't my thing either.
But, I Really appreciate the guys with loud exhaust being around when I'm riding...as you can hear which way they went...and I'll go the other way and the fuzz can chase them, lol

And notice that the baffle is IN my muffler

Ah, I remember that muffler post now...and didn't realize that the R77's were not being made anymore.
I have seen alot of them for sale on ebay over the years too, many with stupid prices, but there are still deals out there.
You could set an ebay alert for them out of curiosity, as you never know what pops up when.
They come up for sale here too on occasion.
If I happen accross a reasonably priced one, or a good oem muffler I'll let you know.
If I had more space I would've buying all the cheap oem exhausts and getting all the free ones, as someone always ends up needing or wanting them down the road.

And do you want the slip-ons or the full single?
As I will look around

I would love a full exhaust but adding a cat is an issue that I do not want to deal with. The Signature series are only slip-ons and that is my target. As I iterated I cannot purchase them at this time so I would not do any work. These are out of stock at Yoshi and consequently most vendors. Dennis Kirk shows them but who knows if they actually have stock until one calls right?

There are no cats in the full or slipon R77's for the Gen2; but why would you have to add one?

And of course if you go with slip-ons you can keep the stock header and cat, but there are few full dual exhaust headers that work with any slip-ons too.
Busas look good with dual mufflers.
