How to remove Hump if cable isnt connected

I hope this isnt a new stupid stories question but here goes :

I was working on my 03 and had removed the hump, rear tail and the cable which attaches to the lock. When reinstalling the unit I forgot to reinstall the cable that attaches and releases the lock / key mechanism on the hump compartment.....How can I get to the hump to release it from the lock inserts on the hump when the cable isnt inserted......
