How to mount mini turn signals

I am cutting the air brake away, leaving only a small amount for the plate to mount to, but i can't figure out how to mount some mini signals. Since the bottom edge of the truck area is tapered I can't just drill a hole and stick them there, because they would be on an angle, so anybody have suggestions for special brackets or anything else. I do not like the integrated signals so that is not an option. thanks.

How about making an angled shim for them? Someone had done that with the OEM signals. Looked pretty trick but IMO the OEM's were too big.

I had the same delema then I saw these: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-FZR-YZF-600-600R-R6-R1-PLATE-MOUNT-SIGNALS-l0_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35580QQihZ

I have these on my bike. They were on there when I bought it but I believe you can pick them up at AutoZone for around $15. I think they look good and work well also.

Big John- Those are pretty sweet. too. My buddy wants to mount his there, too. Are you sure Auto Zone has tose? I didn't realize they had bike stuff (or is it bike stuff)?

Why not go with the ClearAlternatives assy. and not have to worry about mounting aftermarket signals? I was having the same mental blocks trying to figure out what I liked the most until I found the integrated assy.

Go with this! The little ones are way to hard to see not worth it.

I have seen them at the Zone before. I don't think they were orignally designed for bike use but they work good anyway.

Some owners (like myself) do not like the integrated brake light. I feel the brake light should be seperate from the signals and leave as much of the brake light as possible for all to see. I can tell you that most "mini-signals" are not bright enough, but there are a few that are VERY visable. I ride with a guy who has a set from www.Bikersdepot.com that are 22 watts each. They are very bright and can be seen a ways back. Also if you are going LED then I would definately look at ones with the most leds per inch. Personally, I prefer a bright, incandesent bulb signal over the average LED. It offers a more perifial view, while LED's are pointing toward a narrower field of vision. Those 22 watt signals....thats the ticket!
