How do you tell the age of a tire??

I know on cars,they have the month they were made?

Was wondering how the numbers on bike tires work??

(don't want to get a "deal" on "old" stock tires)

Look on the side of the tire for the DOT stamp...there will be four numbers that follow. The first two are the week of the year that it was made 01-52 and the second two are the year 04, 05.....

2304 would be the 23rd week of 2004....1205 would be the twelvth week of 2005
