Did some maintenance work on the bikes today and noticed some very small cracks inside the treads of my back tire. No age cracks in the sidewall and its holding air well. I'm pretty much a freak about checking my tires cause if they go its my a$$. These are very, very tiny cracks so don't know if I'm overreacting or not. Don't know how old the tire is due to it coming with the bike, bought the bike used. Is this normal sort of road wear or an unsafe and ancient tire? It would be nice to feel confident about the back at 120. Also suggestions about what most of you have found to be the best tire would be great. The one I'm talking about is a Continental, not a great tire. Thanks all.
