Holy Crap! Petraeus resigns as CIA Chairman over Extramarital Affair!

Well to make you feel better about your Messiah I don't think any president or person is competent (or good) enough to conspire with anyone outside his immediate close circle these days.

So you've done an IQ test to ascertain the President's competency? You've sat in on presidential briefings and watched him doze off? Strange, but my studies of this presidency have revealed far deeper and more complex capabilities manifested by President Obama. BTW, if I were the General, I too, would have waited until after the election for my revelation. To do it prior to Nov 6th would have been very hamfisted for any cabinet level personel, right or left. But gee, what another great opportunity for conspiracy theorists, especially the ones that are sure that the President is either incompetent or subversive.

Raydog, Raydog, Raydog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, would the real Raydog please stand up! :dunno:

So you actually believe that information that may affect the outcome of an election to the most powerful position on earth effecting hundreds of millions if not billions of people around the world should be held from the voter until after he/she has cast their vote? I'm not sure if I should feel shocked or is the politics of this country now so fukered up that right and wrong has no value whatsoever anymore?

I actually could care less what a man does with his wiener. I didn't care about Bill Clinton and I could care less about the General. I was actually a fan of Bill Clinton and started out with high hopes for Barack Obama. President Obama has sadly disappointed me. I will not condemn him until I see what he does in his second term. My expectations are not very high at this point so it shouldn't be hard for the president to clear that bar. Only time will tell. Hopeful! :please:

And just so you guys that condemn the General for having sex outside the marriage realize, the chances of you or anyone else living your entire adult life with a woman (Married or no) without one or both of you having sex outside the relationship is slim and none!

It's about your style I think....yesterday I had a lengthy argument with a Republican friend of mine (Harley rider, NRA member, firearms dealer, total Conservative) and we never once crossed the line of respect for our differing opinions. I voice admiration for President Obama and you suggest he's "my Messiah". That style is inflamatory and further establishes a chasm between two points of view and is destructive in communication, not constructive. You and other folks that have your political point of view do not have the market cornered on good ideas, rational thinking, and some "single path that's the only way to recapture our great Country" so stop acting like it and maybe some of your ideals will be listened to.
You can respond to my post with clever one liners to try to cancel my point but this election shows, if nothing else, our population includes many differing folks, ALL equally valuable and those that don't learn to celebrate our differences will surely be left behind in that dustbowl of history.

"Would the real Raydog please stand up"? Steven, Steven Steven, I've never changed and you can bet on that. You think the General should have announced his affair in the middle of Hurricane Sandy? Or maybe he should have walked on stage during one of the debates? It's not an unusual position to understand why he waited until after the election, I'm surprised that that isn't obvious to you. But I guess we could make it into the Cuban missile crisis, I'm just not sure why. Doyle

Can's say I blame him

I haven't heard yet but have they said the when where etc yet? And how he became the director without them knowing?

Personally I could care less, seems to come with the territory though with their unrealistic moral code. It's about as lame as the lance armstrong doping scandal. I'm sure hes the only person to commit such atrocities

I respect him too, he is my president, not my messiah, I don't like his socialist "style" policies but he is still my president. Like it of not I have the same right to judge the dude as you or anyone else does. As is normal with politics there are many areas I agree with the socialist president, he is a defacto isolationist, by all accounts he seems to be a good family man and seems to be raising two great kids, he is waging a pretty good strategy against some of the major terrorist groups with a smaller footprint than the last jackass (wish he would expand his programs a bit), I generally disagree with him on domestic economic policy to this point in his presidency. I know you and the other guy think you are smarter than those of us that disagree with the messiah (as pointed out above) so you two should act like true Dems and stop talking down to those of us who do not meet your intellectual heights.

BTW I am not and never been a Repub or a Democrat, I have voteds for a few of each but I normally go for a third party in Pres elections.

You are on a roll today Raydog  couldnt say it any better myself

OK, I'm not going to wear the jacket, "talking down" to anyone. I don't apologize for my verbage, choice of sentence structure or how I see issues because I am clear of my intentions when I express myself in text....that is, grounded in the nuts n bolts, not some pecking order of, "I'm smarter than you are". That approach isn't even in my personality. You know there is another possibility...there may be a little accuracy in my old liberal values! Like, maybe our Country isn't just composed of "makers and takers"...maybe it's a lot more complex than that simple soundbite. Maybe my experience in other countries, in the LA ghetto, and as a Special Ed teacher and Behavior Specialist leads me to different conclusions than you? I don't really know, but I'm not talking down to anyone, I don't do that. Doyle

Sorry to see him go, he is a great man and an even better commander. Everyone makes mistakes, at least he owned up to it (as I would expect him to) and resigned because it was the right thing to do.

Now this is a post of sanity and clarity!

Tuf I am without sin and will cast the first stone in that dept.
yes I look, yes I think 'oh man that would be nice' but NO I would not ever repeat EVER cheat on my wife, period. I do have morals that are based on a religion not all follow but I took an oath before God And her when I slipped the ring on her finger. And as long as its there I'm bound to honor it and her. Men who do not are S**T to me, president, general or garbage man they are all the same. Yes it's a mistake many men make and they can as the General says 'learn from it and move forward without looking in the rear view mirror' but it is not without consequence. Adultery to me is just one of those things that sets men on different levels and moral standards. I guess mine are higher than most?

lmao:rofl: you mean the same IQ test that got him into that prestigious undergrad school.....

Bammie has been banging The HildaBeast for a while now. Why do think the Cigar man is in his corner? Now, the Cigar man has the freedom to smoke whatever young cutie he chooses with the HildaBeast tied up.

Petraeus has always been apolitical. Did not get involved in politics while in command, and kept a low, quite profile as CIA Chairman.
Ha! Why do you think Petraeus got as far as he did? -He could read the winds of political change and made sure that he just did whatever he was told.
The REAL reason for his resignation is because Obama doesn't want him testifying about the terrorist attack in Benghazi.

if the dragon sees this...you just signed your death warrant saiid. :rulez:

I fear no dragon? :hide:

Truth is she's been to my job. My job is no different than the grocery store or anywhere in SoFla. There are drop dead gorgeous women everywhere. Same as there are some pretty heavy duty Rico Suaves. We both look, it's only human, but our vows say we shouldn't touch.

the chances of you or anyone else living your entire adult life with a woman (Married or no) without one or both of you having sex outside the relationship is slim and none!

Absolute nonsense. You might cheat/have been cheated on but I assure you that I don't cheat on my wife and I know she doesn't cheat on me.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks:

Just possibly a coverup has been going on for quite some time regarding this.
And since if he had not resigned he would have been testifying before congress this week maybe this resignation over adultery is to prevent him from saying how much who knew and when regarding Benghazi?
Between the Pres and Gen they may have had a agreement. If O loses then it stays secret, if he wins than the gen has to go to protect the presidential re-elect from public anger because he may have known a lot and not done anything as many think?
