Hid install

hi busa brothers and sisters
i`m working on installing my hid light and in the instructions it says do not turn on and off the unit repeatedly it will shorten the span life of the burner. i have an 06 the light comes on with the key then turns off when i start the bike than back on. so my question is how have you installed your`s?
