At night you will get a very pronounced fan of bright white light out in front of you. Much brighter and denser than stock... way more distance too... High beams are way bright and cover what to me was twice as far .... way the heck out there.... flat out awesome.

Do a search and try to find someone who wasn't happy after installing HIDs. Believe me.... you all need this.

What did you have before?
How much night riding do you do?
Just looking for how the 8000k's perform at night.......... ( I ride to work and its dark out in the morning!!!)

I'll start off by saying that this is all opinion.

Everyone will have their own likes and dislikes.

Personally, I do not out ride these. The light goes so far and illuminates so much that I feel mor confident (which may be a bad thing)

I do ride a lot at night on rural back roads. Usuall faded or no center line and no white lines on the edge.

The HID improves night riding in these conditions so much that I cannot ride with out them.

In the city the light is so pure white that it still shows up and contrasts well againsts the street lights. Divers cannot miss the color during day or night.

Oh and I went from 6K to 8K, then from 8K to 8K (brand name change) and the only difference I see is the color.

The light projects the same and does not heat up any more or less.

There's nothing documented that a 35 watt Xenon (HID) has melted a housing. Overrated 55 watt Xenon bulbs have been known to melt housing though. Overrated 100+ watt halogen bulbs that you find on ebay will do that too.

My kits have 35 watt bulbs.

186,000 miles per second with HID or 75MPH with stock.

Usually just above the posted, especially on rural roads where there's no manmade light. The other problem is all the tree limbs, logging debris, and animals that get frisky at night. So it's more important to me than someone that rides in metro areas. Other bikers have commented on the lighting. I always try to bring up the rear in night rides. Then I catch all that fugging gravel.

Ive been running HID since way back when, 6 years at least, no worries on the 35 watts, no heat at all. can nearly touch the bulb itself.

thanks. that was my only concern. I've read others burning up there wires or melting the platic house'n. I"m in. I do quit a bit of night rural ride'n (work). I did upgrade to silver stars, but they don't help that much. come on pay day lol
