I have the Sena SMH-10R. Works awesome! Clarity is great. All treble and no bass with music, but that doesn't bother me now that I'm used to it.

I have one too but have to ride with the phone in my pocket when streaming music. Does your signal break up when streaming music?

I have the SMH-10 and stream music from my phone, never had single break up on it once. When I first got it, there was some funky stuff going on that I think was an internal contact issue, had it replaced under warranty and works effing amazing. I love the thing.

Sena doesn't communicate to other headsets......yet. However that feature is coming with a future firmware update.

This.

It's been announced already from Sena. They are AMAZING with keeping up with technology and releasing updates.

I can't stress this enough. Buy one.

What get's me is how can they be the only ones to do this? I mean once Sena can make their unit pair with another, doesnt that instantly make the other brand units better also (since technically they will also be able to pair with other brands)???

No.. From what I understand with the software update the Sena will be able to "search" for other frequencies for other communicators. The other brands will still be stuck on one.

Do some research on when the last time any of those other brands had software updates. My SMH10 has had at LEAST 4 updates in the year and a half I've owned it. And ALL of them added features, not fixed issues.

I don't really give a chit about talking to others while riding since I don't ride with others. all I'm concerned about is how well the MP3 works. what do u guys think about its MP3 playing ability for the SMH10?

MP3/streaming audio/etc sounds great and is easily controlled in my opinion. Of course, if you are an audiophile you may be disappointed, but I think it works great. Also, you can adjust the volume on the fly and if you have your phone mounted on the bike somewhere you can make changes on the fly as well. I listen to a morning radio show on the way to work, and Pandora on the way home from work.

Never been happier with a helmet comms system.

I started with the Chatterbox it was nice to be able to talk to other riders but having to hard wire my phone to the device to listen to music was an irritation. I now have a set of the Scala Rider Q2PRO's and am very happy after multiple trips using them the 2-3 other people I ride with have Scala Units as well so the quick connect while riding with them makes the multiple conversations easy during trips. So far I am very happy with them for the very inexpensive ebay price I procured them for.

Sena is definitely awesome, works as advertised. I can be doing 80 on the highway carrying on a conversation.
