I've been using the 10R for years due to it's low and flat profile. I'm really into listening to music and was looking at the 60S with the Harman Kardon sound system. It's a little pricey, but is it worth it? I have some really good HD speakers I got from somewhere. The HK speakers in the 60S kit looks like it may be good. Anybody hear of any feedback on the 60S or especially the sound quality of the unit and speakers? What about any sound noise resistance from the larger and thicker unit besides the 10R?

I just earbuds and one of these old T30's. AAA batts, so no recharging issues on the run.
Of course you can't get them anymore, but I bought a few back in the day and they still work fine.

I picked up the 60S to replace my Cardo Edge. Haven't had a chance to test it out riding yet while I recover from a wreck, but just at home the volume and sound seems better than the Edge. So I'm hopeful it was a good upgrade for me.

I have the 60s. Let me first qualify that I'm hearing impaired. So I won't hear a range of frequencies no matter where it comes from.

But they kick the crap out of the 10s for depth of sound. Better clarity, better volume, better range of sound. And I think I could play with placement to improve anything that I can state as a weakness.

And you have a LOT more sound adjustability in the Sena App.

Not in direct reply to the topic, but as I used ride with ear plugs and also comms/speakers, I made the call a few years ago that I would repalce both with a set of pro earplugs with inbuilt audio drivers. They are made by the same company that supply many of the race car teams and such here. Specially designed to go under helmets

So no speakers, but earplugs that plug into the comms kit. Best of both worlds and don't have to turn the volume up as far and the sound is 100% better, super clear and has bass, but can still hear the outside world

jcauseyfd, what happened with your wreck? That electric company logo reminds me of Cleco Electric in Louisiana when I was a kid.
Had a deer jump in front of me and plowed right into it at speed. Mostly broken bones - worst was a shattered wrist which is what I'm rehabbing. Last bike was totaled, which resulted in buying a busa as a replacement.

And the avatar is Reddy Kilowatt from the old Carolina Power & Light - a predecessor of Duke Energy - from my childhood.
