H.I.D. Questions….Need help

lower the color temp the more light is put out. 3700 is going to be about the same color as sunlight. 6k will start to get blue, 10k is blue, higher than that gets deeper blue then turns violet.

??? I had 6k on my gen 1 and i was a very bright white color. idk where your thinking it will be blue?

Color temperature (K, Kelvin), Please Choose from the following:

3000K Golden Yellow, 4300K OEM White, 5000K Pure white, 6000K Diamond White,
8000K Iceberg Blue, 10000K Brilliant Blue, 12000K Exotic Violet, 30000K Pink/violet,
Green

that and if you go to a 55w kit its going to change the color slightly. everyone will call it white but if you put it next to a 5k in the night you will see some slight blue hues in it.
 
Just for future reference...

3000K is yellow
5000K is sunlight
6000k is slightly blue (what i have)
8000k does have a slight purple tint to it
12000K purple nurple

Yes it is just a color preference, but 5000K puts out the most light output. The further you go up from there, the less output you are getting, and what I've found is it's harder for your eyes to adjust from the ambient light all around you to the crazy thousands of kelvins you have right in front of you. If I were to do it again, I would do 5000K all day long. Oh.... so that's why bimer bikes come with 5000k, yes.
