I remember a number of years ago that someone or a bunch of people purchased a shim kit for a gen 1 and was mailing it around the country as people wanted to adjust their valves. I believe people would either throw some cash in the pot or something to help cover the cost of maintaining the kit.

If such kit exists, please direct me to who has it so I can get in line. I have 3 valves out of spec and need some shims without purchasing a kit.

Thanks.:moon:

EDIT: Found the link https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/maintenance-do-yourself/59885-ya-ll-wanna-start-valve-shim-bank.html but it hasn't been updated in a few years.

nevermind... I found a valve clip that wasn't completed seated causing the shim not to drop into the recess fully causing a few of the valves to be off. Fixed that and were all good.

I sux,, i forgot to reply to you last week Travis!

But let me know if you still need it!

nope, found a valve retainer or one of those "c" clips not completely seated. Fixed that and all the valves checked out. The motor is buttoned up and ready to go back in the frame tomorrow!!! :beerchug::thumbsup:
