i use a magellan explorist 500 its about 150 bucks and is water proof and u can always use it when ur hiking or take it with u

Has anyone used this one? It has pretty good reviews on Amazon.com, but I am not sure about the mounting situation.

I have a Tom Tom one I have taken it on road trips and the unit symply rocks!

I recently took it to a road trip in spain, I bougth the spain and portugal maps of their web site and it was dead accurate, I mean it even had in the dayta base hwys that are still to be opened!

This units have great support for the future!

I have drop my unit a 1000 times and there has been no damage, I have also tries garmin and magellan, But I have found Tom Tom 100 times better for street navigation where the other two are better for camping or hicking!

I have a Mio 520. They make Magellan. nice unit has mp3 and loads of stuff I'll never use. I'll take a pic and post. Bottom line thei thing is thin and has a 4.3 in screen that turns from day to night vision. Also a great way to check you speedo accuracy. got mine for under 280.00
