Just got a garmin 2620 gps unit. And wonder best type of mount to use on busa. I checked out cyclegadgets.com but wasnt sure on arm length to use. Any other mounts for gps for motorcycles. Plus any pics of mounting systems would be helpfull to.

without knowing what kind of mount system is on the unit I'm not sure if this will work.  Maybe to can modify it to work. http://www.stemstand.com/

Good save.

You'll probably want to buy a mount for the GPS itself as well. Using the sandbag probably isn't going to work.

A good deal is the Garmin motorcycle mount which comes with a hardwire adapter cable. Then you can take that and mount it to the stem stand. Then the unit locks into the mount with a tool that's provided.

I would be curious too see if you can get the 2620 to work on the Busa. I couldn't. The hard drive kept crapping out anytime I got over 4K RPMs. It couldn't handle the vibration. A lot of other bikers have reported this probelm as well. You may end up having to get a 2610. The standard CF memory doesn't have these problems.

I had heard the same about the 2620 and motorcycles, so I ended up going with a Garmin Quest because of the lack of hard drive. I have successfully used it on my VFR for the last week, but I am now looking for a Busa mounting solution. The VFR was easy - right up under the windshield. But the Busa will be a bit tougher because of the lack of space between the windwhield and the instrument visibility. Thus far it is looking like a stem mount.

try this website. this is where I bought mine for my GPS Map 60C also here are some pics of my install.

Nice....where did you get the ball/mount for the stem like that (do you know the part number?).    I have the ball/socket arm that pivots around, and I have the cradle, but no way to actually mount it to the bike.  I was a dumbass and ordered the handlebar clamp without thinking, then realized there was nowhere for it to fit.  At least I can use it on my 4 wheeler, but now I need the hardware to mount my arm/cradle to the Busa.

Just noticed these ( http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Product....RAM-PP3 ) Would the Ram small or ram tiny fit into the threads on the stem?

here is the actual site that i got the mount from. sorry for the wrong one before. somewhere in thier site is the mount for the Hayabusa. It is just a 1/4 inch all thread rod that goes all the way through the triple tree and has a nut on the bottom side and the all thread threads into the ball socket. check this site out and I am pretty sure that is where I got it from.

Looked at cycoactive website and going to see if there mount had vibration problems with the 2620. their ball is either coated rubber or made out of rubber to reduce vibration.

loboboy.... that 60C looks cool?!
