Garmin Nuvi 260 Widesceen

[The Need For Speed]

Hi guys, I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 260 Wide Screen GPS unit. I was wondering if I use the suction cup that comes with the unit, will It hold in place on the bikes plastic windshield. Thanks for any input.

I wouldn't risk it.
Find a more suitable way to mount it to the bike.
I always use Ram mounts.
Have always ordered them from HERE

The polycarbonate plastic "breathes".  The cup will stick for a short while, but will fall off with time.  Use a RAM mount attached to the front tank mounting bolts.  That will also help isolate it from the vibrations at certain RPMs.

The vibration and weight changing will drop that puppy at the MOST inconvenient time

I have a Nuvi 200, now which base do you use ? is it this one:
"RAM-COMP or RAM-COMP-CH 2-7/16" x 1-5/16" diamond-shaped with two mounting holes"

I always use the Ram ball and get a piece of all thread and run it through the steering stem.
I tried on the tank, but if I ran a tank bag it wouldn't be very visible.
