GARMIN QUESTION-Keeping it Dry

I know my wife bought me a little Garmin nuvi 200 for Xmas (Yea, i'm bad---I peeked!) My question is how do you Garmin users keep it from getting wet on the bike? Obviously I'd take it off in a major downpour, but for the other times. I was thinking about slipping it inside a zip-lock bag--not sure if that would work. I'm interested in your method. Thanks!

i have my nuvi 205 mount ziptied to my triple tree and i haven't run into rain as of yet. next spring i am probably going to throw one of those lightweight sandwich bags over it w/ a twistie tie at the bottom.

I have a Nuvi 200. Its really only good for finding your way home it you get lost. In a light rain the windscreen will keep it dry if you mount behing the bars.

i've got a Nuvi also on a stem mount. I haven't tried it with the rain but will probably put it in a ziplock back.

Yep, ziplock bag.
Went through ran at the fall bash and it never got wet.
May look stupid, but who cares.

I say don't ride in the rain. That will keep it dry.

Also if you wash the bike, take it off first :poke:

I have a Tom Tom and to keep it dry I ride faster than the rain drops....

I use plastic sandwich bag:beerchug:
+1 plastic bag..and the bracket can still hold it
