Going To The Chiropractor

Going to have to go to the back cracker again I guess. Lower back is still hurting from a couple of weekends ago, no sign of improvement, so..
I do like the electronic "tenderizer he uses, kind of an electo-shock pad that goes on the offending area for a while before the "adjustments".
Align the spine, instant relief in most cases. My health insurance even pays the bill, just got to make the appointment and go.

Anybody else here use them?

never been to one but have seen a lot of people get relief and have seen a couple end up in worse shape...hope you get to feeling better soon :beerchug:

i have used them several times for both my neck before i had surgery on c-4 and c-5 and then had adjustments for l-3 problems. It did provide some relief for a while but finally had to get cut on for my neck. my l-3 needed some physical therapy. that actually did a great deal of good. better that the chiopractor. dehydrated disc as they tell me for the l-3. comes with age..lol...

I've had great luck with my chiropractor.

I used to trade ammo and range time to a local Back Cracker here .
It always gave me immediate relief and I was always surprised at how many times certain things in my body would 'snap crackle and pop'.
But in the end a day or two later same tenseness and stiff feeling would return .
It was almost like my body got addicted to having itself worked over by him.
I stopped working on range and never saw him again nor did I seek another .
Kind of a mixed review for you ?

Yes sir. A good one makes a huge difference! Hope it gets better quick.

Sorry to hear this Tom. I didnt know you hurt your back.

Neither did I, until a couple of days later.
Nothing major, lower right side, from the middle out, just above my belt line. Seems to bother me the most when I first get up, and while I'm setting, like now.
I've been to this particular Chiro before with great results. Hoping he can work his magic again.:please:

I went several times when my lower back was in agony; later found out I had a herniated disc and surgery fixed it...

The device the chiropractor used was awesome!! I ended up buying something similar for myself...called a TENS unit, set me back about $100 but I LOVE it...if you have this problem often enough, you might want to invest in one yourself...save you the trip to the doc. I hope you do get relief soon!!

Chiropractors are a joke...temporary relief at best. They just mask the real problem. Go see a spine specialist and have an MRI done to see what the real issue is and get it fixed. Don't waste your $$ at a chiropractor.

To each their own, mine has helped me in many ways and has kept me pain free and walking upright for the last 8 years. His adjustments and a specific ab routine has done me right

Went to one of those one time. Told me I had "vertabral sublaxations" (obviously sp??), and would most assuredly be in a wheelchair within 5 years if I didn't let him cut me open and fuse 3-4 vertebrae.
I didn't, and that was around 26-27 years ago, no wheelchair yet.
I avoid the knife wielders like the plague.

Best results yet were from a visit to the Chiropractor and yes the tens was the cats meow. Now in hindsight my medical doctor would only prescribe stuff to mask the pain, but my Chiro eliminated it :poke:

it's the cheapest massage in town... I went many times over the summer.. with my weight jumping up and down on my knees... things needed to be pulled back out.. i miss him

That's exactly what my doctors did (I had 3 for my back because I could not get relief)...I was so strung out on Lortab, I was able to pop two and ride the Busa to work. It's not a good thing to get that used to drugs :banghead:

I eventually did have to just have surgery for my back woes, but the chiro helped tremendously by relaxing the muscles that were most affected by everything going on, and he's the one that introduced the TENS unit to me, so I wouldn't rule 'em out at all...when you hurt, you find what helps. Everyone's different
