Details of the new Healthcare bill get better..

I believe in personal, religious and economic freedom all dished up with a heaping helping of personal responsibility. I believe that government is fundamentally incompetent and the only way to keep said incompetence in check is to constrain said government's growth. Those who believe that the government can effectively manage health care should consider this fundamental axiom.

I also believe that Democrats are fundamentally socialists and what they are trying to get away with now on health care should provide sufficient evidence for anyone that cares to look. Next comes "cap and trade" to suck more life out of our economy. Republicans have their issues as well, but that's another discussion.

Unfortunately, too many of my fellow Americans said "YES WE CAN" to socialism in past elections and many freedom-loving people will suffer because of it. As much as I hate to say it, as a country, I guess we deserve it. If citizens cannot appreciate the Constitution and the benefits of the limited federal government that it prescribes then our liberties are doomed to the bleak pit of an ever-expanding bureaucracy for which there will never be enough "rich" people to satiate. It's just too bad that we ALL have to suffer from their poor and often uninformed choices.

Good post

Nice to see some people post their thoughts and opinions without attacking others...

Im sorry, but if you are going to complain about food stamps and paying taxes to feed people who are less fortunate. something is wrong with you.. way to be selfish.
Let me guess, youre the guy who yells at homeless people saying "get a job you bum"

Lets flip the rolls.... You know what, I think you should be paying a ton in health care to cover your family.. cause YOU should have made better choices in life and found a good career that pays for your medical insurance. Mine does, my company pays mine 100%. I pay NOTHING....oh so sad.

Wow.... Personal attacks, impressive way to gain support for what you believe in...

I was taking into thought about the guys paying these lower premiums and it occurred to me that they are next... Really..

If you are paying an abnormally low premium or none (because your employer pays 100%) you are next.. The Govt (in an effort to be fair) will have to fine you in order to create equity on health care.. (this will not improve or modify your policy, it will just make it cost the same as lessor or better policies)

Say if you spend less than 8500 single or 21,000 as a family, you will be fined a proportionate amount so you are spending what what everyone else is spending regardless of your deductibles and out of pocket costs..

Sound outrageous? it is not.. This uses the same logic as fining people that can not afford coverage and nailing those that can afford to buy down deductibles and out of pocket costs with higher premiums..

Bottom line? more revenue for the govt to spend on frivolous travel, golden parachute retirements and other necessities of running the country..
