Going for ride-gorgeous weather flat tire QUICK QUESTION

Don't, it was a great source of info. In the end, it's the rider's hide. anyway, I went with Ride On sealant, stuff is great, easy to use. I told the parts dept. I can't see chunking a new tire with 300 miles with a needle size hole, 2 of them looked at me and said, we have to tell you to replace the tire, liability reasons.. The stuff sealed the hole right away and there's no plug or patch to come loose. thanks for all the info you all gave, Randy

That last post of mine makes me sound like I'm an ass; four-legged, pointy ears, hairy with tailed ass.

HEE HAW

You do know ride on is only a temporary fix to get you home if you have a puncture and not a replacement for a patch.

I use it myself and it sealed a hole when I got a nail in my tyre.
I pulled the nail out and pumped the tyre up as it had gone down a bit and it got me to a bike shop where I had the tyre replaced.
I rode very carefully to the bike shop.

I patch tires
from time to time
for street use .

The only way I will patch a hole
( Unless I am flat some place and need to get home )
is with a mushroom plug from the inside .

Never had one fail
but I also do not
exceed double
digits either .
