Gen2 208 LED Tail Light

If everyone doesn't want one, then what was the purpose of doing it? I thought it was to make people jealous..

Having something no one else has

Well if the opportunity arises, I will see if I cant get a comparison between this and stock. It is going to put stock and any other tail light to shame....

I can't believe I never came across this thread before. Shame on me. Congrats on this, it's badass!!! Exactly something I'd do. :)

Here's the weird part... I have a very similar tail light as your taillight, even same CA brand, but the board is different, but I have no clue why. Mine doesn't have integrated signals so the whole board lights up for both running and brake lights and only has 3 wires out of it. Basically it operates the same way yours does and I didn't modify it. I've had it for 4yrs and from when I posted it I think I was the first person to running it.

Recently, I considered opening my OEM light and swapping the red cover for the smoked one I have on my CA light.... But seeing what you did inspired me to make my own board and stuff as many LEDs as possible on it, use the CA housing and find some higher output and wider angle 5mm over the winter. I think it's feasible to double the light output we have right now. You ready to upgrade yours?? Maybe we can put our heads together and come up with something cool?

Did you re-use the LEDs that were already on it or did you upgrade them? Did you put the board back on the 45 degree angle?

When I had my Gen1 I had a UFO undertail and as everyone knows it SUCKED for lighting. I ended up making my own board for it with 122 red 5mm 20,000mcd LEDs. It was freaking bright! A couple years later I upgraded it to 60 red 10mm 60,000mcd LEDs which made it even 50% brighter than old setup.
