As Brock(and C10)once said,Suzuki designed these motors to pretty much run on anything with no issues.I've ran nothing but 89 in my Gen II since new in 2011(as per Brocks advice)and seems to make the most power.He also said if you were gonna do burnouts at every stoplight/shift at 11,000 rpms/all day in 100 degree heat then bump it up a little more(91-93 octane)to avoid detonation,but other than that to run 89 for the best performance in a Gen II.
