whatever you do please don't run a low oil level for LSR.

Sight glass is at the FULL line... ;)

I don't do low oil levels to inflate dyno numbers; that's just not right or fair to anyone.

Ok , I love that pipe man, Got any full profile pics with the right side, i wanna see the powder coated job also, I just had mine done but fouled up re-installing my bushings...:banghead::banghead::banghead:
Now i gotta replace all of them...:banghead::banghead:

I am trying to convince myself into it. However whats the official word of how people are "burning" themselves or thier shoes with the exhaust?

I have Hot Bodies tips right not, the exits seem to be in the same type location and I haven't even come close to burning anything with those tips.

I'll try to take some pics this week but have been pretty swamped. If not, I'll have some at the race and after for everyone to see.

As far as the exhaust I've never had any issues with my old systems either. The only people burning themselves are people using DRAG PEGS which mount in the spindle holes. This puts your leg in direct line with the exhaust. It won't matter at that point what exhaust you have, if you aren't careful you will get burned.... :(

I've always said it but I LOVE the Brock's Exhaust Systems and the Black Ceramic Coated ALIEN-HEAD is icing on the cake...

Nice write-up! I have the alien head as well and I don't think it can be beat for functionality and visual gains. I love it!

Thanks bro, I appreciate that. I'll watch the thread now...lol...

I am torn between a Streetsmart with a 14" or 20" carbon canister or the AH in black.

You can't go wrong with either. I had the Carbon can on my 03 and loved it also. The Alien Head will make a couple more HP but you won't regret either setup...

So if I am wanting to tour on my Busa and make longer trips I should be leaning towards the actual canister exhaust, right?

If you are going to be more touring than racing, I would stick to the longer canister over the Alien Head. It won't make as much peak power but will be more pleasant for long rides.

The map was custom made by Johnny Cheese and using the Bazzaz box. Brock has maps for the Bazzaz but a custom tune for each bike (and it's mods) in my opinion is the only way to go...

Nice Thread Bro!
I look forward to your results at Texas.
I was going to run "Serenity" but back surgery has pushed my run back to October 09 at Texas.

May the weather be pleasent and the winds calm for you runs. Good Luck.:beerchug:

Thanks everyone... :beerchug:

I wanted to document my build and all my runs so people have an idea what it takes for an average joe (6'2" 220lbs) to go 200mph in 1-mile. After a few magazines lack of results, I figured it was a good challenge...

Here are the numbers 100% BONESTOCK as Suzuki delivered her out of the crate (in the same condition as she ran the Texas Mile race). I hadn't even changed the oil yet.

BONESTOCK08Busa.jpg

STD: 180.31 HP 108.6 TQ

SAE: 175.90 HP 105.61 TQ

In my opinion, it does no good to swap dyno's half way through since most dyno's are ONLY a tuning aid and really can't be compared. :beerchug:

Seems to be pretty high numbers for bone stock.

Well cause with full exhaust and other very small mods, mine struggles to get those readings.
