Hello and thanks for letting me join. New (to me) and first time Busa owner - 2013. Not my first or only bike so I'm excited to get onto it and experience the hype for myself - finally. I have a question as i want to personalize it a bit and change the wheels out but not break the bank. I'm located in Japan (Kyoto) and wanted to powder coat my wheels but struggling here to get that done for small jobs (its not like back home in the US). I found a set of good used wheels and the color I want, but non abs models and was wondering if they would fit. I'm seeing some differences on the blank wheels so don't want to waste money so any guidance would be hugely appreciated. Sorry if this topic is already addressed.

The main things I noticed in the photos are:

NON ABS:
has 6 spaced hub ribs
Appears to have a shallower axle boss on the hub (doesn't look as raised as much as ABS)

ABS (white)
5 spaced hub ribs
3 Molded ribs for ABS ring bolts

Is the non abs rim able to be used and drilled & tapped for the ABS ring (given that it has the extra (6th) hub rib?
is the hub bearing molding on each a different height or just photo angle distortion? ABS (white) seems taller.

Are there differences in the rear wheels too? I didn't notice differences on the rears.

Any help is truly appreciated.

You could either go without abs or just drill & tap three small arms on the non abs wheel to mount the sensor ring •

Hi. I would get rid of the ABS. Jus ckrck the part numbers on all parts. I had my Gen 1 wheels drilled for the ABS but to use for a front and rear wheel speedomiters as I will run the bike in LSR Meets

The ABS rings can be in stalled, the only problem is you may need to space out the sensors, since the hubs are a bit taller
