Gas mileage ?

About 36 going easy around town, about 15 riding the boost.

Little yellow light comes om between 190 & 215 miles. Furthest on one tank 274 miles. Ususally start pushing at
240 - 250. Yes I mean pushing, some times with help some times not.

 

 

Over 61,000 miles I've avg 43.3 mpg.

Geeeez ! The best I've done is 160 miles to a tank .....and that was slow cruzin' on the interstate  

It could be my imagination , but I swear when I installed the D&D slip-ons , the mileage went south & the low end power went south with it ......?

52mpg highest. 45 avg for all the multi-week touring trips. 40 commuting. 35 when group riding in the twisies.

I just completed a very mellow run this weekend to Ft. Hood and back. Got 40 on the way there and 45 on the way back. Pretty much just droning along though. Both times went over 200 on the tank. The Busa get's good mileage if you take er easy. Stock bike BTW.

About 36 on freeway riding conservative. Messing around goes down hill to about 28.

If you really have lost low end power, (dyno it?), then that would kill your gas mileage.

hmmm see that coule be the problem there too. on the highway i seldomly ride under 120 and im always at high rpms, i dont think ive ever used 6th gear maybe even 5th. and around town im usually ridin 60-70 unless theres alot of cops out which then im always at high rpms. if im just cruisin in the city i normally cruise in first gear.

, this afternoon I rode 100 miles west and returned . Except for going through one small city (pop 2,500) I only pass 2 cars going (both going the opposite direction) and 1 coming back  

Yeeeeeee Haaaaaaaa, the Open Plains are Great  

I pass more cars then that just going down my cul-de-sac

I get like, anywhere from 25~26 mi doing 80~90 thru 110~120...usual, but when I'm out of my mind? 140~150 once in awhile. I guess mine gets the worst huh?

Highway riding goes as such for me when i had the 1300 with HMF dual High mounts

Highmounts, and 17/40 gearing i was getting around 35mpg running around 80 High speed

High mounts with 17/42 gearing I was in the 30-32mpg running 80

Now with 1363 motor, cams, built motor port polished head 12.5:1 compression
running high mount exhaust 16/42 gearing running 75mph i'd get 25-27mpg

17/42 gearing brough me up to the 29-30mpg range running in the 75-80MPh range

Hope that gives ya a good spread

Now with the turbo and 18/40 gearing i have no clue yet i'm hopeing decent

But like anything all depends on the wrist control
