Front stand

After reading a thread about front folk seal, I decided I should be ready to take folks off in about 2k miles. It seems like a simple enough task to take them off. I think I will send them to the shop, and get race tech springs as well.

The question is, how do you keep the front suspended? It might be something simple enough, but I can't figure it out. I mean, after taking the front wheel off.....

Do all front stands built for this job?

You need one that lifts from the steering stem, like this Pitbull stand.

Cycle Cat makes a great front stand.

Yep head stand should do the trick... But be sure and get the proper size pin for your ride!

Ooops. I didn't read it right. You'll need the stem stand.

Floor jack under the header works good. I have also seen guys attach a ratchet tie down on a beam above the bike.

i have used an engine hoist and 2 straps from the handle bars, you dont dent the headers this way
