Greetings, been searching online for two days to no avail. Recently swapped out header and decided removing the radiator was the best option. I pulled the radiator hose and caught the coolant in a 2 liter bottle and poured it back in after I re-installed the rad. Needless to say, I didn't catch all of it. It's the original coolant (green) and need to know what type/brand I need to top it off. Thank you for any help. Also, the bike has 7,000 miles and this is it's 1st winter.

I have always used the universal green coolant in mine and change it every two years. Radiator still looks like new inside.

im sure good ole prestone will do but honestly i changed mine over to engine ice. cuts down on the engine heat big time. love the stuff. dont know which bike you have but i have a g1 and when i switched to engine ice i also put a muzzy blade on and a lower temp switch on the radiator. Vastly improved the cooling on the bike. Im now running a 1397 kit and have no problems at all with that combo.

I have a 2011. Just read several different sites saying not to mix different types, glygol, silicate free, just curious what kind the factory type is. Thanks for responses.

I used the basic 50/50 mix, but now I'm thinking ICE is the best route...

Engine ICE is great stuff, I run it in all my dirt bikes, but keep in mind that the freeze point in high. Just some added info for all of us who have to worry about such things. I know most have a nice warm place to put our bikes to bed for the winter, but if you dont just keep that in mind. also make sure you have every bit of antifreeze out of your system the two products do not play well together.
