I just finished reading a similar post. I am putting a 4 into one Yoshi Pipe on my bike. Will there be any ill effects if I put on the pipe without a Power Commander for the time being. I hope to have one next week, I just want to get the exhaust on now and take it for a ride. Will it run lean and hurt anything running it this way or will I be OK to ride it for a bit with just the pipe?

It's fine, you don't NEED a powercommander at all. The generic pc map won't make alot of difference. A dyno tune is the way to go.

A full system w/o a proper tune (either via a canned map on a PC, flash tune with ECU editor, etc.) is NOT recommended. But if you really have to ride your bike with a full system without a tune, maybe just take it easy.

A full system just flows a little better. Nothing will lean out or be dangerous about it.
