It is really not that bad. I use Mothers on it about once a month and it stays bright and shiney. Seeing how mine is 3 years old, most people that see it think it is chrome. If you get any grime on your chrome, it is tougher to get off of the chrome than it is the frame. That might also be the difference in chrome polish verse Mothers too.
